Title: Measuring Uncertainty Applications by Dilip Shah
Abstract:
This workshop provides clear instructions on developing a measurement uncertainty budget compliant to JCGM100 to meet requirements of ISO/IEC17025. A generic example is used to develop an uncertainty budget using an Excel spreadsheet. This can be used generate uncertainty budgets for laboratory’s standards and for reporting on their Scope of Accreditation and reporting customer’s calibration uncertainty.
Learning Objectives: Learning Objectives and outcome for this workshop are:
-
Understanding the Measurement Uncertainty Process.
-
Ensuring that metrological traceability is maintained.
-
Developing and understanding statistical tools in the application of measurement uncertainty process.
-
Developing tools and methods for reporting customer's measurement uncertainty per ILAC P14 requirements.
-
Making statements of conformity.
