Showcase your job and organization to curious students and alumni - become a Host in the University of Alberta’s Job Shadow Program!

Volunteering as a Job Shadow Host helps strengthen your organization’s talent pipeline and contributes to the growth of your industry. By offering participants an immersive look at the day-to-day realities of your career, you’ll help them explore their options while sharing your expertise and honing your mentorship skills.

The Fall 2026 program takes place from November 9 - 13 (excluding November 11), can occur for one or multiple days, and is open to hosts in Edmonton, Camrose and their surrounding areas.

Register on the Job Shadow Program website by September 14, 2026.

General Information

Registration deadline: September 14, 2026

Program dates: November 9 - 10 & 12 - 13 (one or multiple days; excluding Remembrance Day)

Host eligibility: Professionals who can provide an in-person workplace visit whose workplace is in Edmonton, Camrose, Fort Saskatchewan, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, St. Albert, Stony Plain, and their surrounding areas.

Participant eligibility: U of A undergraduate students, graduate students, alumni, post 

doctoral scholars
