Bio:
Vincent Burris has over 15+ years of experience within the public services sector, which has encapsulated various positions and programs. He’s currently a Senior Process Consultant within local government, where his work centers on health and human services agencies, consulting, and leading projects in partnership with executive leaders and department directors in the areas of efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
Vincent stays connected to communities of practice through servant leadership and a variety of roles such as, having served on Preliminary Judging Panels for ASQ's International Team Excellence Award (ITEA) working collaborative with team members to provide feedback to organizations on their journeys to team excellence. Served on the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence (TNCPE/NCAfE) Board of Examiners, applying his analytical skills to organizations seeking value-added feedback on their continuous improvement journeys to performance excellence. He's an active member of the ASQ Government Division, currently serving as its Financial Manager. Past roles
within the society have included various leadership roles from section level to global taskforces, and WCQI spotlight events.
He possesses an MSc. in Leadership & Organizational Change Management, ASQ-CQE, ASQ-CSSBB, PMI-DASM, Exemplar Global Certified Quality Manager, and PMI-PMP®. Vincent Burris is the Founder & Principal Consultant of Burris Quality Consulting, LLC in North Carolina working with small to medium sized organizations on their journey in continuous improvement. In his spare time, he loves to travel, read, bike, and spend time with family and friends.
Abstract:
The Quality 4.0 era launched several years ago and has ushered in a multitude of disruptions to which no industry nor sector has been immune. Data science, big data, and emerging technologies (RPA, AI, etc.) have come to the foreground of organizations both large and small to adopt and enable due to customer and stakeholder’s expectations evolving. To meet or exceed these expectations, governments, particularly local governments have been scrambling for a path forward, in such uncharted territories. This presentation aims to provide thought-leadership insights for leaders, quality professionals, and customers both within and outside of local government operations.
