Our speaker, Laura Halleck, Senior Consultant, Quality Management Systems, QSG will present
“The Future of ISO 9001: What’s Changing and How Organizations Should Prepare”.
Topic
ISO 9001 is evolving to ensure quality management systems remain aligned with today’s rapidly
changing business environment. This session explores the anticipated changes in the 2026
revision and what they may mean for organizations currently certified to ISO 9001:2015.
Key themes shaping the revision will be discussed, including emerging technologies and
digitalization, opportunity-based thinking, and an increased focus on quality culture and ethical
behavior. Participants will gain insight into how these changes may influence quality
management practices and what actions quality professionals and leaders should begin
considering to prepare their organizations for the transition.
Biography
Laura is a Senior Consultant and ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) with over 25 years of
experience in quality management and process improvement across the automotive and
aerospace/defense industries. She actively contributes to the future of quality as a US expert on
the international committee revising ISO 9002 and as a member of the US Technical Advisory
Group (TAG) to ISO/TC176, the international committee responsible for the ISO 9001 revision.
She also contributed to the revision of the recently published ISO guidance document Integrated
Management Systems – A Practical Guide. Laura's experience includes developing,
implementing, and auditing management systems aligned with ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949,
ISO 13485, and ISO 14001.
