Today’s Supply Chains are more complex than they were a decade ago. The recent pandemic has illustrated many weaknesses & stresses on those chains, and the need for more robust planning and execution. Also, we have seen a large-scale exodus of skilled employees creating additional stress on our supply chains.
As SCM practitioners, we need to familiarize ourselves with the latest trends and best practices, in planning and executing projects that must be delivered on time, meeting expected business outcomes, to strengthen our supply chains.
ASCM has recognized this objective, and has incorporated segments of Project Management principles into its certification programs, such as CPIM, CSCP, and CLTD, so that we can understand the need for (and how to work with) the project team. And especially in the case of the new CTSC certification, there is a very heavy reliance on project management principles within the study and application of CTSC.
Neeraj & Paul will provide an overview of how project management directly influences all of us within the supply chain profession.
