Advancing Public Sector Excellence 2026–2030: From Tools to Trust, Outcomes, and Best Practices
In June 2025, ASQ Government Division and FIT convened the Quality, Innovation, and Performance Summit to surface actionable strategies and real-world stories across government, industry, nonprofit, and academia. The program covered: AI-enabled quality/compliance and digitization, building a culture of continuous improvement and change, Agile in federal workflows, election best practices using ANSI G-1 and the BEST model, integrating QMS and risk management, metrics for performance management, Lean Six Sigma for regulatory efficiency/compliance, and systems-based modernization of investigations, ending with action planning focused on making continuous improvement a daily habit.
This reflective and future-focused panel discussion revisits those same themes to answer four questions:
- What progress has been made since our 2025 Summit in these key areas?
- What stalled and why?
- Have new systemic constraints emerged?
- What must government leaders build and implement between 2026–2030 to turn continuous process improvement, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives into durable mission outcomes and public trust?
