Presentation Abstract:
It takes more than a roll of the dice to build a character that can be a successful auditor, and it takes more than a game board to build an audit team that can tackle any audit challenge (20-sided dice anyone). Designed for the young auditors and the seasoned young-at-heart auditors, participants in this interactive workshop will network with each other, conduct a self-assessment of their audit behaviors, get to share their own audit strengths, learn from each other and understand how to build effective audit teams to meet any challenge that may be thrown at them.
Speaker Bio:
I love what I do! Twenty-five years ago, I started Gorveatte Consulting Inc. a wholly woman owned and operated business offering ISO 9001 Quality Management System coaching, auditing, and training building a client base including everything from Fortune 500 companies to solo-preneurs trying to increase their competitive position in the global marketplace. Although I work across North America, I currently reside in Nova Scotia where I live with my husband, two smart university graduates, and two spoiled cats. I am an active Member of ASQ, holding positions with the Quality Management Division, Audit Division and I am Past-Chair of the Technical Program Committee for ASQ World Conference on Quality and Improvement (and already planning for Orlando 2026!).
As a business owner, finding spare time can be hard but I know balance is important. In my spare time, I am a novice rock drummer and a huge fan of all things Star Wars and all things Disney. I can often be found wandering around a Disney theme park on my time off.
