  • 1.  ISO 8.7 Control of nonconforming outputs

    Hello all,

I have a question about 8.7.1. "The organization shall ensure that outputs that do not conform to their requirements are identified and controlled to prevent their unintended use or delivery."

At my company I have dashboard I use to control nonconformance. We manufacture our products in lots and each lot has its own set of actions steps that need to be done to ensure internal conformance.  My dashobard will tell me every time a manufacturing step is not done, on any given lot.

Here's my question: What is an acceptable nonconformance rate for all the step on all the lots in any given time? For me its not enough to just check to see of each step is done. I need to know what a good process control rate is.

I am not an expert but I can tell you that every company set their goal and if you don't have one then you need to take data  in order to set goals as long as the goal is to improve you should be ok
