Managing for quality.

Someone working in quality shared this with me yesterday:

Managing for quality is something only technical professionals can do!

Sorry I could NOT agree with him.

Managing for quality is something that everyone in your organization should be involved with!

What do you think about this?

(After our long talk, he CHANGED his mind)

If everyone (or at least a significant majority) is not involved in managing for quality, the program has little chance for real success. Thant's my opinion anyway.

Everyone may not have expertise in Quality tools and principles, but everyone has expertise in some area of the organization and thus has something to contribute to quality management.
