DOE in Marketing/Sales
Does anyone have experience applying Design of Experiments to Marketing/Sales to discover what type of advertising works best and what posts seem to work? It's something I have been thinking about for a bit, but I don't know where to get started. Googling for this didn't help much, but then I'm not completely sure what I'm looking for. If anyone is able to provide me with specific keywords to look for, or any courses or books on the subject, I would really appreciate it.

Hi Jonathan Van Heijzen‍ - Thanks for joining us here! I finally feel like I'm getting to answer a question on here that I actually know something about. hahaha

In marketing we call it A/B testing - much like DOE - changing a variable within your marketing to see what the customer responds to. Here's a blog post from hubspot that explains it pretty well. https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/how-to-do-a-b-testing

We typically divide a list into 2, give different messages or design or both and then track to see which has the best results. You'll usually only want to test 2 at a time.

Let me know if you have any questions - happy to help
