The introduction of ISO 9001:2015 states “The adoption of a quality management system is a strategic decision for an organization that can help to improve its overall performance…” The Introduction also lists four potential benefits of implementing a quality management system based on ISO 9001:2015. How many of us have actually read, let alone embraced, these concepts and the potential benefits of implementing a quality management system (QMS)? A case study will be used to demonstrate how the presenter utilized the ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements as the framework for establishing her household’s “new normal” QMS. In this session attendees will receive: *Specific examples of how ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements were applied to a household, the lessons learned, and how they can be applied to any organization. *Templates that can be utilized to establish and implement a practical and adaptable QMS in any organization. *Examples of how the concepts presented in ISO 9001:2015, like the process approach, the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle, risk based thinking, and the quality management principles, can be utilized to improve an organization’s overall performance. ***Sponsored by Quality Foundations Division***
