Hi everyone - I have been a member of ASQ since 2010 and been a quality professional for more than 10 years. I am currently a Quality Engineer in one of the healthcare companies and I am planning to take CMDA or CQA certification. Though my background is manufacturing, and I have also been an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, I only have few experiences in medical or health care.
Any thoughts if CMDA is the right path instead of CQA?
Can anybody recommend any websites/books that can help me prepare for my certification? Any advice on how to plan and prepare for the certification will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Teresita, CMDA is more focused on medical device auditing and if you want to go with a more general audit, I think you should go with CQA. I am a CMDA and to me the best thing is to enroll in CMDA preparation course through ASQ. In that course you will learn about the material(book, CDs, …) that you need to buy and are helpful for the exam. Whichever cert/exam you pick, I hope best of luck.
