Hi Susan, thanks a lot! Are you with ASQ? Would you be able to hopefully communicate this to the owner of the questions bank if you think the answer is incorrect?

Hi Peter, I am the Secretary for the Audit Division. I have reached out for some help on this, not sure what I can do, but I can try :)

I would agree that the answer should be D. auditee.

I agree with the answer B - Audit Program Manager. You could audit someone and find a non-conformance but the auditee that you were working with may not be the one to fix the non-conformance. At that point it is ultimately on the audit program manager to convene the correct people to “fix” the non-conformance.

Hi Susan, thanks so much for your reply. Can you please let me know if there is any update? Thanks again.

Peter, no success but I have reached out again for clarification.

Hi Peter, the answer is correct. The Audit Program Manager is employed by the auditee (auditee organization) and is responsible from making sure that NCs are addressed by the organization in atimely manner. This is cover within ISO 19011.

Thanks for thequestion,

George Kiakis

Hi again Peter,

I am sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Chair Elect of ASQs Audit Division and was a professional auditor and auditor trainer for over 30 years, now retired.

Goerge is correct. The auditee may investigate, create and implement the corrective action, but the audit program manager is ultimately responsible to ensure that the corrective action is implemented and effective.

Thank you to those that responded. I am glad we were able to provide the necessary feedback to Peter.
