Increase Employee Engagement to Achieve Operational Excellence

Continual improvement is beneficial to organizations and individuals. An organization can’t reach optimal flow (operational excellence) if its people are not in the optimal flow zone. When people are in the flow zone, their engagement level is higher than those in the anxiety or boredom zones. Thus, ISO 9001 requires top management to promote improvement as a means to demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the QMS, and one of the outputs of management reviews is decisions and actions related to opportunities for improvement.
