Case Study: Health System Retools Internal Audit Teams to Bust Nonconformities

After achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification, a central Georgia health system retooled and elevated its internal audit activities to better address nonconformities, reduce rework and ultimately improve how its processes support patient care. Internal audit teams aimed to identify and eliminate nonvalue-add activity that jeopardized safety and effectiveness. Along the way, the teams created a culture of continuous readiness.
