    This month's issue is all about risk—a fitting topic after such a tumultuous 2020. The cover story, “Taking a Bite Out of Risk,” explores ways to improve how dental implants are manufactured, using process failure mode and effects analysis and risk priority number measurement.

    In “Don’t Leave It to Chance,” the author offers a new take on risk management that subjects all potential risks to risk measures, not just known risks. By omitting the chance of occurrence, this new approach allows you to manage and prioritize risks not by calculated risk, but by potential risk, thus increasing your risk maturity level.
