I was pleasantly surprised by the Author's comparison of the philosophical roots of Lean and Six-Sigma. The article was engaging for me as a frustrated Philosophy Major who has never been able to land that "Chief Philosopher" position with any of my employers. As a Quality Professional I brought my own perspective to the many manifestations of the Quality/Continuous Improvement quest. I enjoyed Mr. He's "grand unification" of Lean and Six-Sigma as two paths leading to the same result of customer satisfaction.
