Leaders need measurement insights to keep the organization on an even keel. Making Sense of Big Data visually through manageable patterns such as dashboards helps us see how the organization is changing and reacting to the environment. Turning that gut feel in the form of a hypothesis helps us quantify that feeling and reinforces the knowledge we seek.
This webinar shows a possible scenario of Big Data usage through a case study of an Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and how it improved its search ranking without deploying Search Engine Optimization (SEO). An uneventful paid advertising campaign did not improve Search rankings. 3 years of public domain government property data were then used to create Firm Generated Content (FGC) "pull" as opposed to paying for Search Engine Optimization and advertisements "push" through Social Media. The search rankings improved to the first page.
The Big Data dashboards were produced with cloud based spreadsheets with a 5Mb space restriction and a play on simple file management technique to give an insight into how we could deploy data updates and begin harnessing Big Data for our Sense Making journey.
