Bill Haughey is a consultant in systems engineering and APQP processes. On the design side he specializes in Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and Design Review Based on Failure Modes (DRBFM). On the manufacturing and assembly side, he specializes in Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Process Control Plans (PCP). Bill started ReliaTrain as an LLC (2006) but incorporated (2009) under WJAB Enterprises Inc. dba ReliaTrain.
Haughey is the author of Design Review Based on Failure Modes (DRBFM) and Design Review Based on Test Results (DRBTR) Process Guidebook based on the Toyota GD3 Methodology. He is a recognized global expert in the areas of Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA); Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA); Design Review Based on Failure Modes (DRBFM); Design Review Based on Test Results (DRBTR); Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/A); reliability program planning; and auditing. Haughey is a member of the SAE J1739 FMEA Standard, SAE J2886 DRBFM Recommended Practice, SAE Automotive Quality Process Improvement Committee, and SAE Reliability Committee TAHB009. He is also a member of the RAMS (Reliability Availability Maintainability Symposium) management committee.
