TOPIC: Experiences in Reliability Engineering
SPEAKER: Laura Aume, MS, CQE, CRE, CSSBB
SPEAKER’S BIOGRAPHY: Laura Aume, Senior Data Scientist, Battelle, is originally from rural upstate New York. After earning her Master’s degree in statistics from Cornell University she went to work for Corning Incorporated (based in Corning, NY) as a statistical engineer. There she had the opportunity to design, conduct, and analyze studies, develop acceptance testing procedures and apply methods such as SPC to control and improve manufacturing processes. For the past 20 years, she has been working as a data scientist for Battelle in Columbus, Ohio where she enjoys working on a wide variety of projects in fields such as healthcare, national security and medical product development. She holds the ASQ CQE, CRE and CSSBB certifications and has participated in workshops at ASQ headquarters to assist in the development of CRE certification exams.
PROGRAM: Laura Aume will speak about some of her experiences over the course of her career, with a focus on examples of reliability engineering analyses she has performed. She will also talk about ASQ’s process for developing certification exams and the workshops she has attended.

MENU: The menu will include baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, tossed salad, drink, and dessert. Cost for the meal is $10.00. You may attend the meeting without participating in the meal, but registration is still required.
RE-CERTIFICATION UNITS: Those holding certifications will receive 0.5 recertification units for attending the presentation.
