Attached is the formal notice for the ASQ-SVS Thursday, February 27, 2020, dinner program meeting on Quality In Search and Rescue Canine Training, at the OSU South Centers, Endeavor Center, near Piketon, Ohio (see Attached Notice).
 
This will be a very interesting and informative meeting in a comfortable setting with ASQ-SVS friends and new acquaintances.
 
About the Meeting: Dave Fosson, Auxiliary with Pike County Sheriff’s Office, will introduce Finn, a registered German Shepherd dog certified in Search and Rescue, and discuss how, where, and why he acquired Finn. He will discuss the basics for enrolling Finn in Basic and Advanced Obedience, and Search and Rescue, as well as review motivational and acclimation techniques. He will review the long process of tracking progressions, records, performance, and proficiency and the hours of commitment with varying training conditions, and requirements for certification. Dave will review search techniques, dealing with families, rewarding success, and additional training options.
