What: Drug Education and Prevention in the Workplace

By 2035, it is projected that all of the growth in the working-age population will come from immigrant-origin adults. However, statistics also show that education levels are lower among immigrant-origin adults and language barriers will continue to be a challenge. To be prepared for the future, employers will need to start investing in basic skills development among their entry-level employees.

In this presentation, we are going to talk about workplace literacy. We’ll discuss different types of literacy skills, why those skills are important, and how to go about developing those skills in your workforce.

You will learn:
  • A step-by-step process for building a workplace literacy program

  • Best practices for workplace literacy programs

  • Opportunities available for your company
