What do astronomical studies of the moon, Guinness stout, and General Douglas McArthur all have in common? They are all key elements in the development of the conglomeration of what we call Quality. The history of quality is filled with quirky chronicles that have led to the tools and methods we use. Learn the stories behind the philosophy of quality; from the first standardized measurements using the body parts of royalty, to discussion of the gurus of quality, and the golf bet that propelled Six Sigma to the forefront of Process Improvement.
This presentation will:
  • Give an overview of the evolution of Quality

  • Describe the key players in the progression of quality

  • Illustrate the development of key quality tools
