ASQ Section 0511 December 2022 Meeting Announcement - UPDATE

Short Description:

ASQ Section 0511 is a community of quality professionals of Northern Virginia, with tremendous cumulative experience across multiple industries, companies, and government agencies. The experience of these quality professionals is a highly valuable networking resource to learn from.

It has been a long-standing tradition for Section 0511 to dedicate each December meeting to its members. This December of 2022, we conduct our second Professional Night: Path to Quality.

In the past, the annual social events conducted in December of each year did NOT grant attendance RUs. Advent of online meetings made us re-think our approach, and we replaced them with Professional Nights in December 2021, where 22 Quality Professionals introduced themselves over the course of three (3) meeting nights (12 in December, 4 in January, and 6 March).

This second Professional Night: Path to Quality is an educational event that grants 0.5 RUs to its participants. We will focus on our Quality Professionals, where YOU are the center of attention!

Program Content:

One of the Section’s objectives is to put the Quality Professionals in touch with each other and to have them benefit from each other’s experience. The participants of our Section meetings emphasized in the past that they wanted to learn more about each other through introductions and by sharing relevant information about their professional experience.

• This December 2022 Professional Night: Path to Quality WebEx event will be conducted by the same procedure as such an event of December 2021.


• Meeting attendees will be asked to take floor for a few minutes to introduce themselves and their professional experience to other participants by answering the pre-defined questions listed below.


• Your turn to speak will be selected in random order. One of several Moderators will ask you to answer the nine (9) questions listed below and will converse with you as appropriate, for example, by asking for clarification.


• The questions will be projected to your computer’s WebEx screen. Also, you are encouraged to turn your camera on when you speak. If you are on the phone, you will need to view the questions on the Section’s web page or similar when you speak.


• There is no featured speaker for the December 2022 event. Professional Night: Path to Quality is an educational event thus carrying 0.5 RU. You are expected to participate in a conversation with the Moderator when randomly called.


• PLEASE REVIEW the nine (9) questions that you will be asked and THINK AHEAD of what you want to say to other Quality Professionals in attendance about yourself and your experience. You will have about 5 minutes to answer those questions, depending on the number of meeting participants.


• Everyone will get floor. However, if the meeting runs out of time (as was the case in December 2021), asking you to speak will be deferred to the next meeting (likely, January or March 2023).


• Note: This Professional Night: Path to Quality is not a call for volunteers. It is about YOUR Path to Quality. You will not be asked whether you volunteer or plan on volunteering unless you want to raise this yourself as part of a relevant question (such as Q4, Q5, Q8, or Q9).
