2022 Ranger Outings: A Year in Review

Conducted by Connie Broadie

ASQ Section 0511 Historian, Chair for Voice of the Customer, Secretary

Short Description:

In 2021, ASQ Section 0511 conducted a Ranger Outing at Mount Vernon with a Networking Lunch as its September event. It was preceded by two (2) polls of all Section Members and a Round Table with questions about such educational events, and it was followed up with a survey of those who attended the September 2021 event. Furthermore, our Chair for Voice of the Customer Connie Broadie conducted a thorough review of this event at the February 2022 Section meeting, with its own participant survey: http://asq0511.org/Meetings/announce2202.html. The feedback consistently showed that Section Members favored such events.

In 2022, ASQ Section 5011 followed up on that success with three (3) more Ranger Outings: Paradise Springs Winery in May, Shenandoah Caverns in July, and George Washington Masonic National Memorial in October. Each of those Ranger Outings had a highly knowledgeable Ranger as a Guide, was followed by a Networking Lunch, had additional optional events, and each was followed by a survey of participants. Besides, we took a ton of pictures at all parts of those events, with best ones to show and tell about!

As the Ranger Outings Review Lead, Connie Broadie will now perform our annual review of all three (3) of the 2022 Ranger Outings. She will present both the organizational and educational aspects of those events and will illustrate them with plenty of pictures, historical facts, and survey feedback in the process. Those who attended those events will have a chance to briefly voice their recollections.

This Program is a unique event, the next best thing you can do to actually being with us at any of those Ranger Outings. And some of us attended all three!

As a bonus, we hope Connie’s Presentation "2022 Ranger Outings: A Year in Review" will inspire you to join us in person at our Section’s future Ranger Outings and, perhaps, even to help organize them!
