The presentation will help you prepare your facility for an OSHA inspection by understanding OSHA’s mission, procedures, and scope. During this presentation we will discuss a brief history of OSHA, the elements of an OSHA inspection and the importance of preparing before they “knock” on your door. The presentation will assist you in preparing a plan for your organization to follow including assigning responsibilities, performing hazard assessments, training and keeping good records.
We will end the session with a glance at OSHA’s Top 10 Citations and a “low hanging fruit” target list of easy fixes any company can implement.
Shannon has over 20 years of experience in the occupational safety field working with both manufacturing and construction clients. Much of her career has been dedicated to assisting clients with OSHA abatements and regulatory compliance.
Shannon is an OSHA outreach trainer for Construction, General Industry. She holds a Safety Trained Supervisor for Construction (STSC) designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and has completed the General Industry Certificate Program from the University of Alabama.
