Deborah is a third-party provider for FloridaMakes, assessing and advising manufacturers on business continuity, risk management, and other areas to improve and grow their businesses. She is a Six Sigma Green Belt and sits on the advisory board for USF’s Cybersecurity Program. Prior to her current position, Deborah worked with ED&F MAN, a UK commodities firm as Regional Finance Director for the Americas. She contributed to the International Audit team, creating and developing best in class finance processes that globally safeguard against cyber fraud while ensuring business continuity and resiliency after crisis. As CFO with UNIPOWER, she had responsibility for IT, and HR functions as well as Finance. She has had finance leadership assignments in Florida and Massachusetts for Siemens and had several finance leadership positions with other multinationals like Tyco, Sensormatic, and Citibank. Deborah has received a Circle of Excellence Leadership Award in recognition for her technical skills enabling her successful management of implementation of four SAP ERP conversions in post-Merger and Acquisition (M&A) integrations. She earned Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Analysis and holds an MBA with International Finance concentration both from the University of Miami.
