Excerpt: "The Next Leader"

Description:

In this interactive session, in a series of thought experiments, participants will work in small teams to develop a very succinct set of traits, skills, and behaviors for leaders for the next generation of workers and workplaces.

Each discussion will flow from a question derived from economic and cultural forecasts, or from reviews of multiple leadership diagnostic instruments and theories, or from descriptions of generational, diversity, and inclusion differences in our current workforce.

Once a vision of the Next Leader is set, we will set to work on strategies to begin developing those leaders from among our current co-workers and describe the impact this might have on quality in organizations.

We’ll discuss the links between leadership development and workplace development and the kinds of organizational culture that will facilitate that development.

Participants will leave with a broad roadmap to transform their organizations to face the next generation of challenges, threats, problems, or opportunities.
