Solving supply chain volatility using Inventory Buffers

DDMRP has exploded onto the scene and has been embraced with LEADING global companies such as Unilever, Michelin, Nestle, Stemcell, British Telecom and Shell. Companies are gaining phenomenal results,   LEARN MORE WHY!

 What is DDMRP?

Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning is a formal multi-echelon planning and execution method to protect and promote the flow of relevant information through the establishment and management of strategically placed decoupling point stock buffers.

This solution has brought to light the conflicts between forecasting, lean and MRP.   This presentation will expand on these issues.

Take aways:

- How lean and 6 sigma systems can interact with the inventory function.

- How you have to buffer inventory,  Its not just safety stock any more!

- Who is doing this?

- Resources, software and training.
