Our speaker will be Ernesto Zepeda. Ernesto is an electrical engineer, computer scientist and long-time member of the ASQ San Fernando Valley section. He will speak about the '9S Methodology'.
Abstract: There are a number of tools available to help organizations with root cause and problem-solving process such as 5Whys and Fishbone Diagrams. The IAQG, along with the aerospace community, have developed guidance documents to help organizations with root cause and problem-solving process: Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving (9S Methodology) - called ARP9136. This was developed to support management system controls. The presentation will cover the steps for performing root cause analysis to resolve a significant or recurrent issue by following the 9S methodology.
