Beyond the Sticker and the Cert

We encounter measurements in everyday life. For product manufacturers and testing labs, in attempts to reduce risk and ensure better measurements, they will have their test equipment calibrated to get their “sticker and a cert”. But howoften do people actually read their calibration certificates? How many know what to look for and how to correctly interpret and use the information? Are they simply checking abox or are they really reducing their risk and ensuring better measurements?

-Provide a better understanding of what calibration is, and why it is critical to everyday measurements.

-Be able to read and interpret different types of calibration certificates.

-Ensure better measurements and reduce risks within their organizations.
