VT-ASQ Presents a Free Webinar: Getting to the Bottom of It - Conducting Effective Root Cause Analysis **Rescheduled**
Program Overview: Corrective and preventive action relies on effective problem solving! One of the most important steps in problem solving is getting to the root cause
Corrective action is defined as preventing the recurrence of the problem. This can only happen if the cause is =isolated and appropriate and sustainable corrective actions are put in place. This session will cover the terms, principles, tools, and tips for doing just that.

This session will:
  • Explain key terms associated with corrective action and root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Review the corrective action process from the 8D approach
  • Define what is meant by a “root cause”.
  • Review the proper use of several RCA tools, including
    • Cause-effect Diagram (aka “fishbone”)
    • 5-Why analysis
    • Cause Mapping
    • Kepner-Tregoe Is/Is-Not Analysis
