This webinar will discuss the concepts of design of experiments (DOE) and multivariate data analytics (MVDA), including process modeling and monitoring and their application to product quality. We will explain how multivariate data analytical methods can facilitate and amplify applications like process analytical technology (PAT) and quality by design (QBD). Finally we will present number of different applications, in form of production processes from a variety of industries, focusing on raw materials characterization and process optimization for illustration.
Lennart Eriksson/Stefan Langner
Lennart Eriksson is a senior lecturer and data scientist and has worked with advanced data analytics for over three decades. Currently, he holds a position within the marketing team of SSDA. His responsibilities relate to trainings, webinars, blogs and other marketing communications. Lennart has a PhD in Chemometrics and holds an associate professorship in Chemometrics at Umeå University. He has authored and co-authored over 100 publications on the applicability of design of experiments and multivariate data analysis in research, development and production. Lennart is a member of the editorial board of Journal of Chemometrics.
Stefan Langner is Market Manager for the Process Industries segment within Sartorius Data Analytics. In this role, he is the market expert for Food & Beverage and Chemicals. Stefan holds a M.Sc. in Physics and a diploma in Marketing Management. Before joining Sartorius in 2018 he gained more than 25 years of experience in applications and marketing of scientific instruments and the according software.
