ASD Free Webinar - A Metrics based Software Tool to Guide Software Reliability and Security Test Act
×
When:
Dec 2, 2022 from 05:00 PM to 06:00 PM (UTC)
Associated with
Aviation, Space & Defense Division
This talk presents the Covariate Software Failure and Reliability Assessment Tool (C-SFRAT), which implements a non-homogeneous Poisson process software reliability growth model incorporating covariates based on the discrete Cox proportional hazards model to explicitly link test activities to defect and vulnerability discovery. The tool implements efficient and stable algorithms to estimate the numerical parameters of a model that best characterize the failure data collected during testing. The quantitative nature of the models can support rigorous test an evaluation, including the specification of concrete software reliability and security requirements in support of detailed contracting efforts to ensure quality.
