ASQ Inspection Division Presents CERTIFIED QUALITY INSPECTOR Certification Preparation in conjunction with the Inspection Division Virtual Conference
The Certified Quality Inspector is an inspector who, in support of and under the direction of quality engineers, supervisors, or technicians, can use the proven techniques included in the body of knowledge. Under professional direction, the Quality Inspector evaluates hardware documentation, performs laboratory procedures, inspects products, measures process performance, records data and prepares formal reports.
Why become certified? Becoming a Certified Quality Inspector allows you to broaden your knowledge base beyond what you might do at your job. It provides you with third party recognition of your skills and abilities which may help you stand out from other inspectors, whether going for that promotion at your current job, or looking to change jobs or companies. Having an ASQ certification tells others you are serious about your profession and have taken the time and effort to advance in skills and abilities. This certification may also become a springboard for other certifications in your career path such as the Certified Quality Technician, Certificated Calibration Technician, Certified Quality Engineer or others as you grow in your career.
Attendees of this course should have some prior knowledge of statistics, metrology, calibration, and inspection and test, as this course is designed as a review of the subject areas needed for the CQI exam.
