Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) for the Global Food Supply Chain
The global food supply chain is comprised of a set of complex processes that have a direct impact on the health and safety of people around the world. There are many food safety standards that are available to help companies throughout the food supply chain show that their products and processes are safe for food-based applications.
Trying to choose the best standard for your organization to conform to can be a daunting task. The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) has established the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) in its attempt to harmonize these standards through benchmarking processes. In this webinar, the following questions will be addressed:
Who is part of the Consumer Goods Forum?
What is the Global Food Safety Initiative?
What does harmonization mean to the Global Food Safety Initiative?
What standards have been benchmarked?
What food-based processes are included in the GFSI benchmarking effort?
What changes have been made from GFSI Version 7.2 to GFSI Version 2020.1?
