Dover, Delaware is where a large Kraft Heinz plant is locating that produces many familiar brands including Stovetop Stuffing, JELLO gelatin and pudding, and Crystal Light dry mix.  It employs approximately 600 employees.  As compliance manager, Clare has responsibilities to ensure the quality & safety of the manufactured food produced at this site, both internally and externally.  She will share about the role of Quality in the Food Industry.  In addition, there have been particular challenges during COVID-19 operations so she will share some of those lessons.  Last, she will also share some leadership tips she has gained on the job.  Please join us for this interesting glimpse into the food industry.

Quality Compliance Manager Aug 2019 to Present, Dover, DE Plant
Manages execution of site Food Safety Quality Program (QRMP) and HACCP programs.

Primary point of contact for HACCP and net content regulatory requirements to ensure all regulations adhered to.

Responsible for leading external and internal audit preparation, activities and any follow-ups.

Conduit between Plant and Corporate Manufacturing Quality, Sector Quality, Regulatory. Ensures Quality policies are understood and communicated to Site employees.

Monitor and maintain plant document control program by complying with current Kraft Heinz and ISO Standards. Ensures all internal procedures, processes are accurate and performing to expectations. Works to ensure compliance and system/program improvements.

Quality Supervisor Dec 2017 – Aug 2019, Dover, DE Plant
Oversaw and managed quality needs and resolutions for Powdered Beverages, Stove Top and Dover Bakery including commercializations, start-ups and HACCP reviews.

Drove review and improvement of processes across the plant to reduce holds and consumer complaints.

Supported Capital Approval with data collection and business case development for related projects
