Topic

The Work of Leaders session is designed to provide established and aspiring leaders in a wide variety of work settings effective strategies and behaviors that can be utilized to achieve outstanding results. The session will provide participants with in-depth information, including tips, strategies, and action plans to help leaders become more effective. The material that will be provided is based on a research-validated learning model that will create a highly personalized learner experience.

The content includes the culmination of six years of research and development. Work of Leaders presents a simple structure that neatly captures the complexity of contemporary leadership.

The work that leaders do—the work that really matters for professionals who want to influence their work groups—is boiled down to three areas: crafting a vision, building alignment, and championing execution. Vision, Alignment, and Execution are “magic words.” They strike a chord that turns the goal of leadership into tangible steps.

In the session, participants will learn how to:

1) Craft a Vision by imagining an improved future state that a work group will make a reality through its work.

2) Build alignment and get to the point where everyone in the work group understands and is committed to the direction.

3) Champion Execution by ensuring that the conditions are present for the imagined future to be turned into a reality.

The session will be of value to a wide variety of professionals whether they are currently in management, aspire to positions that work at the macro level or just desire to learn more about the key elements of delivering results for groups and teams.
