"The Forum on Integrated Management System Best Practices" was organized jointly by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry and ASQ Local Member Community at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry Head Quarters, Sharjah on the 26th September 2018.
The introductory remarks by His Excellency Mr Mohamed Ahmed Amin, Acting Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry highlighted the importance of standardisation in Industry and how the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sharjah took pioneering efforts in motivating the small and medium enterprises in the Emirates of Sharjah as well as in the Government sector. He encouraged all attending participants to utilize the most through active participation in the IMS best practice forum.
Ms Kavitha Prabhu, General Manager, ASQ MEA, in her brief speech highlighted the importance of continuous learning and converting the learning to a habit by implementing the learning on a daily basis.
The presentation of Mr Shibu Davies, General Manager, TUV Nord (Middle East) highlighted the importance of integrating multiple standards and the economic benefits derived from integration.
Panelists, Mr. Murtada Al Zayle, Excellence Advisor, Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Authority, Mr. Abdelaziz Mohamed Shattaf, Assistant Director General for Members Services Sector, Mr Sathish Narayanan, Manager, Internal Audit (IMS & Regulatory) along with panel moderator Ms Nancy Nouaimeh, AVP - Quality, Safety & Performance Excellence at Abela & Co discussed the challenges of IMS in the region.
