Job opportunity - Quality Manager

Our client, an established & growing manufacturing company in WNY, is looking to hire a Quality Manager to join their team. This person will manage 8 Quality team members including a Supervisor, Quality Engineers, a Quality Coordinator, a Warranty Specialist, and indirectly the inspectors.


  • Provide a fresh perspective on the importance of quality
  • Consult with cross-functional team to design and implement quality standard for compliance parts and products across all global operations
  • Work with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Customer Service, and technical support to improve customer experience
  • Develop programs, policies, and workflows to support Quality initiatives
  • Investigate customer quality issues for root cause and set in motion preventative action plans
  • Audit work instructions, processes, and procedures to ensure each build is to design and engineering specifications
  • Manage internal quality audit system and perform regulatory audits (ISO 9001, 14001, NSF process)
  • Develop and participate in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and improving quality team performance
  • Collect and report all KPI metrics to track quality, productivity, cost of quality, Voice of Customer, and employees’ development plans
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure and improve quality of service and parts
  • Other duties as assigned/as necessary


  • Position is full time, standard 40-45 hours per week, direct hire
  • Position is 100% in-office, standard 1st shift hours with some flexibility when dealing with suppliers overseas
  • Minimal travel may be required domestically and internationally (passport necessary) to Canada, China, Mexico and/or India
    • International travel likely 2-3 times a year for 3-5 business days
  • 2-5 years management experience
  • Up to $120,000 annually depending on experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline preferred
  • Six Sigma Certified Green or Black Belt preferred
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
