I am also grateful for the amazing section leadership team! These volunteers have made sure that the change this year to virtual could happen. This transition to virtual was a lot of work, and I am so very grateful for the dedication these leaders have to our section. It has been rewarding to see it all come together with 40+ members joining in on a typical virtual event. It has been an honor to serve as the Section Chair in 2020. Thank you to our current leadership team members and the education team: Joe, Fred, Mike, Erica, John M, Patricia, Dave, Arnot, John H, Katie, Ray, Brandon, Julie, Justin, Larry, and Tom. We also have had a few team members "retire" this year. Thank you to Rick, Terri, Karen, Lizzie, Wayne, and Scott. If I have missed listing anyone, I certainly didn't mean to do so!
We recently posted to myASQ and LinkedIn the upcoming monthly events for the remainder of 2020 and through May of 2021. In early 2021, we will post the lineup for the March education event. Yes, that will be happening virtually, too. The topics are going to be relevant to business professionals like you. Stay tuned! The instructors are the top in their respective fields. We will continue to follow the guidance of ASQ and the CDC regarding virtual or in person events.
If you are looking for a way to give back in your professional life, I encourage you to consider volunteering with the Milwaukee Section's leadership team. It's a great group of individuals! We have executive board positions open for Treasurer and Chair Elect. We also have other team positions open like virtual event host, event marketing, education event planner, networking planner, mentors, and documentation specialist. The more volunteers we have, the more offerings we can provide for the section. It's only a few hours a month time commitment. I hope you will consider it. Send an email to email@example.com. Thank you for considering. I know the positions I have held in the section's leadership have helped me become a more well-rounded business professional.
Thank you for reading this post. My wish for you all is a safe and memorable holiday season!
