Department: OEM/SOEM Quality Assurance
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for customer quality account management and the ongoing development of customer relationships with our business partners; manage OEM/SOEM customer quality levels and excursions through the Kingston global quality systems and sites; translate customer requirements into functional QCS work instructions, solving customer problems through audit, analysis, reporting. Will work closely with Kingston staff in Sales, Engineering, Operations, Project Management during the quality process. Position/Title: Q.A. Inspector
Department: Quality Assurance
Supervisor: Quality Assurance Manager
Perform inspection of incoming materials, in-process, and completed components/assemblies and/or completed connectors to determine conformance to specifications.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Inspector maintains the flow of quality product by performing product acceptance for incoming, in-process, and completed components/assemblies. The Inspector applies knowledge and expertise and incorporates guidance from internal/external customers to utilize efficient/effective inspection methodologies. The Quality inspector documents all inspection activities as necessary to support the acceptance, rejection, and evaluation of product. The Quality inspector is pro-active in improving product/process design by providing feedback to necessary support functions.
- JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Performs First Article inspections to the AS9102 Standard
•Conducts tests, inspections, audits and validations to accept incoming materials by confirming adherence to specifications; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
•Conducts visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
•Initiates and/or completes necessary quality records, reports, logs, test data, and other associated paperwork required to accomplish acceptance, rejection, and movement of material.
•Is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of rejection reports, quality records, and inspection data.
•Works from prints, drawings, sketches, specifications, packing sheets and other written or verbal instructions.
•Takes direction from PRB and MRB authorities in the course of inspection, audits, and validations
•Provides feedback to Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement with regard to product and process design impact on produceability and inspectability
•Continuously improves the inspection function to ensure efficient support of quantity of work, and improvement in quality of work.
•Collects and uses statistical data for the monitoring and evaluation of trends.
•Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
•Provides training and tutoring to other inspection personnel.
•Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs when needed.
•Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
•Provides activity and status reports to management.

The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Analyst is responsible for managing and executing
procurement-related activities such as but not limited to requisitions and purchase
orders, inventory management, vendor onboarding, insurance management, Spring Fed-
Pool (SFP) process, Task Order process, Request for Proposal (RFP) creation, contract
monitoring and Audit e-filing, Audit related activities, and continuous improvement
initiatives. As the central process owner, the SCM Analyst exercises independent
judgment and oversight in continuously evaluating existing procurement processes and
methods using Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies and provide value-adding
recommendations. The Supply Chain Management Analyst reports directly to the
Manager of Procurement Services. All activities and programs overseen by the Supply
Chain Management Analyst are conducted in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
(SOX), GSWC Procurement Policy, GSWC Procurement Procedures and Processes, and
Company Code of Conduct.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Business Economics, Supply Chain / Procurement, or related field of study required
• Professional certification in ISM or APICS or Lean Six Sigma is a plus
• 3-5 years working experience on procurement, supply chain management, and contract management-related activities or similar function preferably in the utility industry
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and multitasking skills
• Proficient skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and JD Edward software application or other ERP software, e-bidding software (e.g. PlanetBids, Ariba, BidSync). Programming skills are preferred: SQL, PowerApps, Access, or any programming software
