- Ensures risks associated with mortgage lending are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
- Communicate effectively and provide coaching/guidance to key stakeholders
- Help identify and manage emerging risks and issues
- Subject matter expertise for all applicable single-family residence mortgage origination laws and regulations
- Writes and manages team policies and procedures
- Provide oversight of key vendors
- Monitor quality data from origination to post-close”
The qualifications for this one include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Risk, Accounting or other relevant Business doctrine or equivalent
- 2 years of Risk Management, Audit, or Compliance experience in a banking, insurance, audit, public accounting, or other relevant financial institution
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools/applications, including Excel, charts, V lookups, pivot tables, reporting, PowerPoint, as well as collaborative platforms such as SharePoint
- Ability to clearly define scope and identify root cause of problems, research potential solutions
- Familiar with risk management best practices
- Extensive knowledge of end-to-end mortgage origination process
