Validation Techniques For The Service Industry
I read with interest the string on statistics for validating the manufacturing industry.  I spent 20 years there but now I work in the DoD Services industry.  Specifically, we provide Base Operations Support services such as Facility & Equipment Maintenance, Work Order (WO) & Engineering Services, Pavement Clearance (snow/ice/debris) and Environmental Compliance on the Army and Air Force sites we serve.  Is there a best business practice to validate process success other than reducing WO response time and audit sampling?
