Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance and quality control efforts associated with non-compressor products for the Air Conditioning business within the Emerson Climate Group. You will be responsible for working with cross-functional groups in the development of new products and support of existing products
  • Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Collaborate with cross functional groups and teams and provide quality guidance and support for new and existing product
  • Develop quality processes, systems and methods associated with non-compressor, electro-mechanical products and sub-systems
  • Process optimization
  • Validation of prototype and production processes and methods
  • Validation of prototype and production gages and instrumentation
  • Generation of quality plans
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Measurement system analysis
  • Develop and present technical updates to cross functional teams, business unit leaders and customers
  • Development of Process and Value Stream maps, PFMEAs and Control Plans
  • Review and approval of PPAP documentation
  • Lean Six Sigma problem solving
You are technically capable and are driven to make good decisions based on collaboration with others and adapt to changes as they occur while continuing to drive toward the goal.
  • B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Controls or Electrical Engineering
  • ASQ, or equivalent, Green Belt Certification
  • 5 years of Electro-Mechanical manufacturing experience
  • At least 3 years in quality engineering role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with medium to high volume production
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications: Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Working knowledge of Minitab, Statistica or other statistical software
  • Familiar with use of ERP system such as Oracle or similar
  • Familiar with use of Product Lifecyle Management systems such as Team Center or Agile
  • Ability to travel throughout North America up to 15% of the time
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided.
  • 7 years of Electro-Mechanical manufacturing experience
  • ASQ CQE certification preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
