7:00 – 8:00 PM Eastern
Description: Despite the global merger and acquisition (M&A) market having annual transaction volumes reaching above $3.5 trillion, between 70 to 90% of the M&As deals fail to meet the expected stakeholder's outcomes. The due diligence definition refers to the comprehensive appraisal of a business undertaken by a prospective buyer, especially to establish its assets and liabilities and evaluate its commercial potential. The purpose of due diligence is to set up the acquisition (company, product, license, etc.) for success. Often, life after the deal closure and post-acquisition audits of these newly acquired entities reveal shortcomings that should have been identified during due diligence. Since acquisitions are essential paths to companies' strategic growth, there is a need to find ways to improve the effectiveness of the due diligence process.
Learning Objectives: Participants will come away with a deep understanding of the following:
• The role that quality plays in due diligence
• Identification of the quality systems to focus on during the due diligence process
