@William Hackett Hi Bill, I enjoy working as a contract Certification Body Auditor. I enjoy many advantages of being a CB Auditor, like seeing management systems in various industries, working with other management system specialists, and identifying exciting ways to apply the “Spirit and Intent” of the standard. I also like being a contractor because it offers a flexible schedule.
@Sheetal Patel Sheetal, I'm glad you are considering it. Remember, at a minimum you must take an Exemplar Global certified lead auditor class, and each ISO standard has it's own class. Then you must keep an audit log of all external audits you conduct. Sadly, internal audits do not count unless you are a contractor. Keep in touch. Both Susan Gorveatte and myself can help you!

William,
I have the proper training and certifications because it's required for my full time job as a Quality Assurance Manager for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Would it be doable to be a contract auditor as a side gig?
Thanks!
