Hello Quality Professionals,

I want to thank those who participated in the April Bring a Friend campaign. A heart felt thank you for you being an “ENGAGEMENT” example. Your name goes in a drawing for a free dinner meeting! The SLC has extended the promotion for the May 12th ASQ Presents! meeting, so plan on bringing a friend to the Grand Rapids Holiday Inn Downtown on Pearl Street. If you have not been to a meeting at the new venue, you are missing out. The room is the right size for great networking, a wonderful meal, and hearing top-notch speakers each month.

The May ASQ Presents! tutorial will be presented by Rick Evans on the subject of “Practical Statical Tools for Continuous Improvement."

A special thank you to Paul Prunty, a longtime member and past chair, our main speaker for this event. Paul will teach us about the “The Common Thread: Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Waste.”

I hope some of you are taking advantage of the 2022 ASQ World Conference either in person or through the virtual option.

  • Attend virtually OR in-person!
  1. Registration: https://asq.org/conferences/wcqi
  2. If you plan to attend WCQI in-person and would like to get together with others from the Region, please let me know and we can plan for a time.

If you have ideas or suggestions or want to improve our monthly meetings, please contact the section email, asqsection1001@gmail.com or post to our Facebook page, ASQ Grand Rapids Section 1001. Please don’t hesitate to volunteer your input because we need it to provide the highest quality product for our members as we pursue Knowledge – Networking – Opportunities for the quality professionals in West Michigan.

Thank you for supporting the Grand Rapids Section!

Chad Wittkopp,

Chair Grand Rapids Section 1001
