“If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else.” - Yogi Berra
Hello Grand Rapids Section Members & Friends,
The month of May marks the end of the 2020-2021 program year for the section. Monthly section meetings are not held during the summer but resume in September. We anticipate COVID restrictions will be minimal, and we plan a return to The Bluff in the Fall. These will be in-person meetings, with a hybrid option. The Grand Rapids Section Leadership Committee is already working on the line up for the 2021-2022 Program Year and welcomes topic or speaker recommendations from our members, or suggestions for improving our monthly meetings. Please share your ideas through the meeting survey, email the section, or contact any member of the SLC. We need your input and engagement to provide beneficial meetings, classes, and events to improve your member experience.
A top ASQ Global Strategic goal is to Improve Member Experience, to increase your member value. At the section level that means ensuring the individual's professional success through membership, products, services, and networking. To gain insight into our member’s needs, the May monthly meeting will be a SWOT analysis session. This information will be used to create goals and actions, which will be built into the section business plan. If you have never heard of a SWOT analysis, this is an excellent opportunity to learn about them. The SLC periodically performs SWOT analysis, but our members have never been included in this process.
We want to hear from you!!! You are the customer!!
Please join us May 13th to share your perspective in a fun and friendly work session.
The May meeting for this program year was to be the Member Appreciation Event, to be held at the LMCU Ballpark. This event has been rescheduled several times. We are pleased to announce this event will be held on September 10th, 2021 at the Whitecaps Pepsi Stadium Club!! This promises to be an exciting way to kick-off the new program year! Additional event information will be provided as soon as we receive it.
We thank you for your patience for this long-awaited Member Appreciation Event!
