“Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.”
- Joseph Campbell
Hello Grand Rapids Section Members,
I hope this message finds you safe and well; physically and mentally. Since my April message so much is the same, and yet so much has changed. Now we are hearing about quarantine fatigue, the worrisome trend of increased travel during a time when most of the country remains under stay at home orders. Public health officials are concerned because the deadly virus is far from being contained and there isn’t a vaccine. We are also learning about food supply chain safety and shortages, topics rarely covered by the media before the pandemic; but familiar to many quality professionals. These events highlight the need for more information and data to battle this virus, it also emphasizes the need for quality professionals that have the tools and knowledge to provide effective solutions when we need them most. I want you to know that even in these times of isolation, the Grand Rapids leadership team is working to bring you events that will provide Knowledge – Networking – Opportunities.
Your Grand Rapids Section Leadership Committee (SLC) is exploring alternatives for the face to face meetings and conferences we have attended in the past. Work is taking place on an online May Section Meeting and there is a list of event updates below; additional details will be provided in the May newsletter. All of the section newsletters can now be found on the Grand Rapids myASQ page, at this address:
Here are the quality event updates:
